Locking Procedures

Loans are locked upon authorization from the borrower. In addition, we will give you a copy of the wholesale rate sheets we are using to price your loan.


Third Party Fees
Appraisal (typically $375-400 depending on size, type, and location of property)
Lender Fees $175 loan processing, $375 underwriting
I guarantee lender closing costs on the day that the rate is locked. If any of these costs at closing are higher than those shown on the good faith estimate given to the borrower at the time the rate lock is confirmed, I  will pay the difference.

Bio
Scott has been involved in the real estate business in Oklahoma City since 1988. Originally from Wisconsin, the Air Force brought Scott to Oklahoma City in 1983. Deciding that Oklahoma would be a great place to settle down, Scott joined Abide, Realtors and started his real estate career. Scott was the company's rookie of the year in 1988. In 1996, Scott took over management of a local Century 21 franchise and a year later opened his own real estate firm. Sensing a need for something different in real estate, Scott's firm was the first "flat-fee" real estate company in Oklahoma City. Based on the concept  that a 6% commission was too much money to pay to sell a home, Scott's company started a trend in Oklahoma City and what was then (in 1997) revolutionary, is now a common practice. 

Looking for a new challenge, Scott started in the mortgage business in 2004.  The Upfront Mortgage Broker concept is a natural fit for the way Scott does business. Totally transparent, guaranteed service, reasonable and consistent fees. Just as the "flat-fee" concept in real estate has transformed the way consumers pay for real estate services, the Upfront Mortgage Broker concept will change the way consumers shop for mortgages. 

In his spare time, Scott is an avid tennis player and golfer. He also enjoys coaching his son's baseball and basketball teams. He is very happily married to Deborah and they have two beautiful children: Brevin, 11 and Sterling, 7. Scott and his family reside in Oklahoma City.
